Position Summary We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused *Forklift Operator* to join our team in Abbotsford. This position plays a key role in supporting production and shipping operations by safely moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring products are accurately staged for customer deliveries. The role works closely with production staff, shipping personnel, and drivers to keep operations running efficiently. Based on your existing forklift operator job descriptions. Key Responsibilities * Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. * Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments. * Supply materials and pallets to production equipment as required. * Stage finished goods for customer deliveries and internal transfers. * Verify shipment counts and assist with shipping paperwork. * Conduct daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues. * Maintain organized inventory storage areas. * Follow all WorkSafeBC, company safety, and operating procedures. * Keep warehouse and yard areas clean, organized, and hazard-free. * Communicate effectively with production, shipping, and office staff regarding load readiness and priorities. Qualifications * Previous forklift operating experience required. * Valid forklift certification preferred (or willingness to become certified). * Experience loading trailers and handling palletized products. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. * Manufacturing or warehouse experience is considered an asset.
