We are looking for an experienced and motivated Chef to join our opening kitchen team. *Responsibilities* * Prepare and execute dishes consistently according to restaurant recipes and standards * Work with Japanese ingredients, flavours, and cooking techniques * Handle mise en place, prep, cooking, plating, and service * Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and food safety * Manage ingredients efficiently and minimize food waste * Assist with menu development, testing, and seasonal specials * Maintain an organized and efficient workstation during service * Collaborate closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams * Help establish kitchen procedures and standards as part of a new restaurant opening *What We?re Looking For* * Professional kitchen experience in a restaurant environment * Experience with *Japanese cuisine or Japanese cooking techniques strongly preferred* * Strong knife skills and understanding of food preparation and kitchen organization * Ability to execute consistently in a fast-paced service environment * Attention to detail and pride in presentation * Reliable, organized, and comfortable working as part of a small team * Interest in creative fusion cuisine and experimenting with flavours and techniques * Culinary training is an asset but not required with equivalent professional experience Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour Benefits: * Discounted or free food * Paid time off * Profit sharing Work Location: In person
