They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Description We are seeking a Senior Specialist, HR Strategic Communications and Enablement to strengthen communication practices across the HR function and directly support the development of high-quality executive materials for the department. This role will focus on building practical communications capability within HR through fit-for-purpose templates, standards, guidance, tools, and repeatable processes that enable leaders, managers, and teams to communicate with greater clarity, consistency, and confidence. A key focus of this role will be enabling HR to engage critical stakeholders effectively about its priorities, initiatives, decisions, and outcomes while remaining aligned with enterprise messaging and Corporate Communications standards. The role will support HR-specific communication governance, improve the quality of department materials, and provide hands-on support for Board decks, SVP and VP presentations, HR leadership content, briefing notes, speaking points, and strategic narratives. Responsibilities Develop clear, high-quality executive and leadership materials for HR, including Board decks, SVP and VP updates, HR leadership content, briefing notes, speaking points, and strategic narratives. Translate complex HR programs, workforce initiatives, risks, opportunities, and business challenges into concise, audience-appropriate materials for senior leaders and HR stakeholders. Enable consistent communication practices across HR by creating practical tools, templates, messaging frameworks, standards, job aids, and simple guidance. Apply strong storytelling, business writing, editing, and presentation development skills to improve the clarity, flow, and impact of HR materials. Support HR leaders and managers with message development, audience considerations, communication planning, and delivery approaches for HR-owned work. Partner with Corporate Communications to align HR materials with enterprise messaging, brand standards, communication best practices, and established channels where appropriate. Identify opportunities to strengthen HR communication practices through repeatable processes, reusable resources, quality standards, and continuous improvement. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in executive communications, business writing, HR communications enablement, communications governance, or a related field. Undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience developing executive-level presentations, Board materials, senior leadership communications, briefing notes, and strategic messaging. Proven experience partnering with executives, Directors, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop clear materials, practical guidance, and communication approaches that support organizational priorities. Exceptional written communication, editing, storytelling, and presentation development skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and impactful messaging. Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization. Experience developing communication governance practices, standards, templates, manager toolkits, messaging frameworks, review processes, and fit-for-purpose enablement resources. Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR materials to organizational priorities and tailor messaging for executive, leadership, manager, and employee-facing audiences. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Experience supporting executive leaders in a large, complex organization. Experience within the energy, oil and gas, utilities, pipeline, or other highly regulated industries is considered a strong asset. Looking for meaningful work?
