Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Lawyer for our Calgary office. We are looking for an Associate Lawyer with 1-4 years of experience, a background in litigation and a strong interest or experience in Aboriginal law and regulatory law. As an Associate Lawyer, you will play a critical role in representing and advising our clients, conducting legal research, and collaborating with our dedicated team of legal professionals in both the Calgary and Vancouver offices. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent from an accredited law school. Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta or the Law Society of British Columbia. 1-4 years of legal experience, preferably with some experience in litigation. Experience or strong interest in Aboriginal law and regulatory law. Experience or strong interest in Indigenous law revitalization. Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to serving First Nations communities and understanding of cultural sensitivities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
