Product Manager – Airline Operations & Crew Software About Our Client Our client is a global leader in aviation technology, operating as a specialized division within a world-renowned aerospace organization. They build mission-critical, enterprise SaaS solutions that empower major airlines worldwide to optimize their day-to-day flight operations, network scheduling, and crew management. Role Overview As the Product Manager - Airline Operations & Crew Software, you will take the pilot seat for our client's core Airline Operations Control and Crew Management product. Operating within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), you will define product vision, align market needs with business strategy, and prioritize feature roadmaps to drive continuous value delivery for airline customers across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Main Responsibilities Strategic Direction & Value Optimization Define and execute the product vision and strategy aligned with market trends, business goals, and customer feedback. Prioritize the product backlog using economic frameworks (e.g., Weighted Shortest Job First - WSJF) to maximize ROI. Define, document, and accept features with clear business outcomes, acceptance criteria, and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs). SAFe Execution & Agile Leadership Lead content presentations for Program Increment (PI) Planning events and finalize PI objectives with key stakeholders. Collaborate daily with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), and Solution Architects to facilitate continuous flow, manage dependencies, and resolve impediments. Partner with engineering leads to prioritize technical enablers, architectural runway, and systems scalability. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and OKRs to drive iterative improvement. Stakeholder Alignment & Compliance Act as the primary bridge between development teams, executive leadership, customer experience, and external business owners. Ensure all solution capabilities comply with strict regulatory aviation rules and industry standards. Must Haves Airline Management Software Domain Expertise: Deep domain knowledge in Airline Operations Control (OCC), Flight Operations or Crew Management software. Product Management Experience: 5+ years of progressive product management experience launching and scaling enterprise SaaS products. SAFe Experience: 2+ years of direct experience working inside a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment. Technical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to understand complex systems architecture, API dependencies, and data flows. Tools & Execution: Hands-on experience with Agile management tools (Jira, Agility/Digital.ai, etc.). Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field. On-Site Requirement: Willingness to work 3 days/week on-site at the Waterloo, ON office. Nice to Haves SAFe PM/PO Certification. Aviation Industry Certifications (e.g., Airline Dispatcher License, Flight Operations, or Crew Management certification). Compensation, Benefits & Work Model Target Base Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 CAD (commensurate with experience) Annual Bonus: 10% target performance bonus Work Location & Model: Hybrid – 3 days/week on-site in Waterloo, ON (Research & Technology Park) Relocation Assistance: Assisted relocation available for candidates currently living 500+ km from the Waterloo office. Vacation: 3–4 weeks (15–20 days) based on experience, plus 5 Sick Days, 2 Personal Days, Christmas shutdown, and Professional Development days.
