Have you ever solved a 1000-piece puzzle? When? 2. Briefly describe the specificity of the AspN protease for protein digestion. 3. What is the monoisotopic delta mass (3 digits after decimal point) caused by deamidation? 4. Which amino acid does deamidation occur most frequently on? 5. Consider the sequence below. Calculate the monoisotopic mass (3 digits after decimal point) of the peptides obtained by a complete trypsin digest. Please provide the individual peptide sequences with their corresponding mass. Show your work or provide a brief statement of how the masses were calculated. VDNALQSGNSRQESVTEQDSKDSTYSLSSTLTLSKADYEKHKVYAEV 6. The two peptides below are connected by a disulfide bond. Calculate the combined monoisotopic mass (3 digits after decimal point) of the two peptides. Show your work. SGTASVVCLLNNFYPREAK and VYACEVTHQGLSSPVTK We thank everyone for their interest, however, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
