Registered Plans Associate How does the role impact the organization? The Registered Plans Associate will be responsible for various administrative/processing duties relating to Registered Plans. The work entails daily interaction with Financial Advisors, Sales Assistants, and members of our internal Operations department. The incumbent will acquire considerable knowledge of brokerage operations through this opportunity. What will your role be responsible for? The administration of a wide variety of tasks involving registered plans products. This will include, but not limited to, processing transactions in registered plans (RRSPs, RESPs, RRIFs, LIFs, TFSAs, LIRAs and FHSAs); Processing of contributions, de-registrations, un-locking, withholding tax submissions, trustee wires and non-qualified tax assessments; Providing support individually or in conjunction with other team members in investigating and resolving advisor queries within SLA deadlines; Participation in the maintenance and updating of departmental procedures ato ensure compliance; Working closely with other departments such as Tax, Estates, Transfers, Credit, and New Accounts, in responding to advisor queries and resolving issues as they arise; Assist in registered plan related projects, including regulatory audits; and Other duties as assigned. We also support internal promotion and community involvement. What do we expect from you? Fundamental knowledge of investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry. Financial industry experience, preferably in Operations or Registered Plans; Proficient in Microsoft Office with a willingness and ability to learn new applications; Excellent Customer service, organization, and prioritization skills The ability to work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment while maintaining a high level of service and an imperative attention to detail; Demonstrate email, videoconferencing, and telephone etiquette and relationship management skills; Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment; Demonstrate a professional manner to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization; Exercise tact and discretion in the handling of confidential information; and Experience with Dataphile is an asset. Communicate proficiently in French is an asset Educational/Previous Experience Requirements A minimum of 3 years of financial industry or related administrative experience; and Post-secondary education. Licenses/Certifications Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course is an asset. Salary Range: $54,000 - 60,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.
