Senior Financial Advisor Assistant How does the role impact the organization? The successful candidate must have meticulous attention to detail, possess a positive attitude, and be client focused. The role directly deals with clients, making superior interpersonal skills imperative. The ability to work independently and collaborate as a team member is critical for success in this role. What will your role be responsible for? Relationship Management Provide gold standard client service, anticipating client needs and concerns, and being a good listener. Deliver high-quality client service through phone, email, written, and in-person communication. Assist in prospecting and developing new business. Investment Management Work closely with the lead advisor to manage fee-based and non-fee-based investment portfolios. Prepare investment policy statements, portfolio evaluations, client commentaries/reviews, and investment proposals. Build, monitor, and rebalance customized investment portfolios in accordance with clients’ profiles and compliance requirements. Assist in research, analysis, asset mix decisions, and investment product selection. Execute trades. Liaise with the team to ensure client portfolios are consistent with clients’ financial plans. Maintain high standards of integrity, objectivity, and expertise. What can you expect from us? Our most important investment is in people. To qualify for this opportunity you possess: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Client-centered, putting clients’ interests first. Analytical. Energetic, ambitious, and outgoing. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel Able to work independently and in a team. Able to build long-lasting relationships with high-net-worth clients. Familiarity with Dataphile, FactSet, Morningstar, and Croesus. Marketing experience. Understanding of fundamental investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry. Knowledge of financial markets and products. Abilities Be client-centered, putting clients’ interests first. Identify business opportunities. Build strong, lasting relationships with clients. Work independently and as part of a team. Exercise tact and discretion in handling confidential information. Educational/Previous Experience Requirements University degree with finance exposure. Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in the investment and/or financial services industry. Familiar with managing investments, such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, and GICs. Outstanding interpersonal skills. Licenses/Certifications CIRO licensed. CIM/CFP designations would be an asset.
