Role Description The Associate in Wealth Management is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area, supporting a Portfolio Manager/Wealth Advisor in delivering comprehensive wealth management services to clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing financial plans, investment proposals, and review materials, as well as maintaining accurate client records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and firm standards. The associate will assist with portfolio analysis, trade preparations, and coordination of insurance and wealth protection strategies, while responding to client inquiries and ensuring prompt, professional service. The role also involves scheduling client meetings, preparing presentations, coordinating follow-ups, and collaborating with internal partners (e.g., tax, estate, and insurance specialists) to implement client solutions. The associate is expected to contribute to business development efforts through research, marketing support, and ongoing enhancement of client experience. Qualifications Strong knowledge of financial planning and ability to support the development and maintenance of comprehensive wealth plans. Experience or education in investment management and investments, including understanding of portfolio construction, risk, and return. Background in finance and familiarity with financial markets, products, and regulatory considerations. Understanding of insurance solutions and their role in wealth protection and estate planning. Post-secondary degree or diploma in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; relevant industry designations (e.g., CFP, CIM, CFA candidate) are an asset. Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused mindset and professional demeanor. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn proprietary wealth management and CRM platforms. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, handle confidential information responsibly, and adhere to compliance and risk-management guidelines. Previous experience in wealth management, banking, or financial services is considered an asset.
