Overview Realstar is seeking an experienced District Manager to oversee a portfolio of multi-unit residential properties in the Lower Mainland, BC. This leadership position reports to a senior operations executive and is responsible for maximizing portfolio performance, ensuring operational excellence, and leading a dedicated team of site and building management staff. This is a hands-on operational role requiring strong leadership, budget management, and people development skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently within established operational frameworks to achieve performance goals and deliver an exceptional resident experience. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a regional portfolio of multi-unit residential properties to meet operational and budgetary targets. Oversee and support Building Managers, superintendents, and support staff to maintain property standards, service quality, and corporate objectives. Work closely with site leaders to train, coach, and develop team members, identifying and fostering high-potential talent. Ensure compliance with employment and labour standards, occupational health and safety regulations, and human rights legislation. Establish performance standards, training procedures, and operational guidelines in collaboration with senior leadership. Develop and implement marketing programs to promote properties and enhance occupancy. Participate in budget development, monitor financial performance, and provide regular portfolio performance reports. Recommend and oversee capital improvement projects to maintain and enhance physical assets. Liaise with internal departments, contractors, and service providers to ensure smooth daily operations and seamless execution of renovations. Participate in divisional meetings, analyzing trends and identifying operational, staffing, and training needs. Qualifications and Experience Post-secondary education in business, property management, or a related field (degree preferred). Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within property management, real estate, hospitality, or a related service industry. Proven experience managing multi-unit residential properties (required). Accreditation from a recognized property management program is an asset. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
