This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and innovative team dedicated to advancing medication safety. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented pharmacist to support our lead pharmacist in maintaining and enhancing our medication database.

This role offers a unique chance to contribute meaningfully to the development of safer medication practices while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the pharmacy lead and will gain practical exposure to product design, clinical dosing standards, and medication safety optimization.

Position Overview

Commitment: Part-time, 10-30 hours a month. Flexible days/month.

Location: Remote, based in Canada

Language: English, French a strong asset

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Collaborate closely with the lead pharmacist in the development, management, and maintenance of medication databases to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Participate in the testing and validation of software features related to medication safety, providing feedback to enhance functionality and usability.

• Assist in the organization, updating, and quality control of medication reference materials, guidelines, and related documentation.

• Perform additional tasks or special projects as assigned by the lead pharmacist to support the overall goals of the pharmacy team

Required Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited university.

• Licensure by a Canadian provincial regulatory body.

• Strong organizational and data management skills.

• Ability to conduct comprehensive literature searches using medical databases (e.g., PubMed, Medline).

• Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative attitude.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and medication safety principles.

• Experience with data entry and report generation.

• Interest in healthcare informatics and process optimization.
