The company operates ten locations across Alberta and one in Northern British Columbia, serving clients in major centers such as Edmonton, Calgary, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, and Lloydminster, as well as surrounding regions in Saskatchewan and northeastern British Columbia. Red-L’s core products include industrial, hydraulic, high-pressure, rotary, and vibrator drilling hoses and fittings, along with shop supplies, equipment, lubricants, hydraulic oil, diesel engine oil, and spill containment products. Role Description This full-time, on-site Hose Technician role is based at Red-L Distributors Ltd. in Lloydminster, AB. The Hose Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting industrial and hydraulic hoses and fittings according to company standards and customer specifications. Daily tasks include measuring and cutting hose, crimping and attaching fittings, performing pressure tests, maintaining accurate records of work orders, and ensuring product quality and safety. The role also involves organizing inventory, keeping the work area clean and safe, assisting with shipping and receiving of hose and related products, and providing technical support to counter staff and customers as needed. The Hose Technician works closely with the branch team to meet production timelines and deliver reliable, high-quality hose solutions. Qualifications Ability to work safely with industrial and hydraulic hoses, fittings, tools, and equipment; basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills. Experience with measuring, cutting, crimping, and testing hoses or similar industrial products; familiarity with pressure testing and quality checks is an asset. Strong attention to detail, accuracy in following specifications, and commitment to product safety and quality standards. Good organizational skills, ability to manage multiple work orders, and maintain a clean, efficient work area. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with warehouse, counter, and sales staff. Physical ability to lift, move, and handle hose assemblies and related materials, in line with workplace safety practices. Comfort working in an industrial or warehouse environment; prior experience in hose, hydraulics, or oilfield service is an asset. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade training related to hoses, hydraulics, or mechanical work is beneficial Forklift certified is an asset but not mandatory Salary dependant on experience.
