Hiring: Dailies Lab Operator (Night shift-on site) 📅 Sep 07 – November 20, 2026 (Contract) 📍 Toronto, ON $23.25/hour We’re looking for a Dailies Lab Operator to support our Lab/Taperoom team on a short-term contract. You’ll be hands-on with media prep, transcoding, QC, and delivering top-quality dailies for our productions. What You’ll Do: · Responsible for proper reception and handling of shuttle drives that arrive at Redlab · Offloading media and verifying transfers using Offshoot. · Following proper colour pipeline in Davinci Resolve from production to rendering to ensure consistency. · Syncing and transcoding master files to proper spec for editorial and dailies screeners using Davinci Resolve. · Organizing transcoded media in Avid Media Composer for editorial. · Checking master media and transcodes for any technical issues. · Uploading editorial media and dailies screeners for review using tools like Kollaborate and Frame.IO · Preparing lab reports and sending email notifications to the production team · LTO archiving of relevant master media using YoYotta. · Other dailies related tasks that may arise: ie. internal data logging, and outputting data for later VFX use, etc. What We’re Looking For: 2+ years of post-production experience Strong knowledge of dailies workflows, file formats, and editing software Detail-oriented, organized, and calm under pressure Software Experience: Davinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, Offshoot, YoYotta, Frame.IO, Aspera Flexible availability (Role will require evening or night time coverage) If you’re a detail-driven technician ready for a fast-paced contract role, we’d love to connect.
