Executive DirectorRegistered Massage Therapists’ Association of British Columbia (RMTBC) The Opportunity The Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of British Columbia (RMTBC) is seeking an accomplished and visionary Executive Director to lead one of British Columbia’s most respected health-profession associations with a revered provincial, national and international profile. Representing approximately 3,300 Registered Massage Therapists, RMTBC plays a critical role in advancing the profession, supporting members, strengthening relationships with government and insurers, and promoting safe, effective healthcare for British Columbians. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director serves as the chief administrative officer of the Association and provides leadership across strategy, operations, advocacy, finance, governance, communications and stakeholder relations. This is an opportunity to lead an established organization while helping shape the future of massage therapy within British Columbia’s evolving healthcare environment. Key Leadership Priorities The next Executive Director will be expected to: Advance the Profession Strengthen the profile, credibility and influence of Registered Massage Therapists throughout British Columbia. Strengthen Government and Insurer Relationships Build productive relationships with policymakers, regulators, insurers and healthcare leaders to advance member interests. Support Strong Governance Serve as a trusted advisor to the Board and help translate strategic priorities into measurable results. Ensure Organizational Sustainability Maintain strong financial stewardship, effective operations and long-term organizational stability. Enhance Member Value Continue to evolve programs, services and communications that support members throughout their careers. Build Strategic Partnerships Expand collaboration with healthcare organizations, educational institutions, professional associations and advocacy groups.
