Our client, a well-established and successful multi-branded hotel organization specializing in preserving, maintaining, and flourishing the unique legacy of each of its many properties, is seeking a top Executive Vice President of Operations, Hotels, for this progressive and expanding organization in Canada. It is mandatory for the Executive Vice President of Operations, Hotels to have a proven background with 10+ years’ experience in a senior vice president management role with major opening and expansion experience. You will possess an outstanding background overseeing major multi-unit resort/hotel operations leading a large team of highly experienced general managers and vice presidents in this corporate head office role. The role's responsibilities includes overlooking all operations of the hotel brands in ensuring compliance with brand standards to achieve full guest satisfaction. Hence, the individual must have current senior management experience in a large hospitality group, in a multifunctional hotel environment across Canada. As the Executive Vice President of Operations, Hotels will be responsible for the operational aspects of all the current hotel assets under the company's control, you are also required to work closely with the company’s directors together as a team and work towards a common business goal. At the same time, ensuring that all properties are maintained and operated to optimum business growth, profits, and investment gains. Important requirements for this role also include (but are not limited to): * Must have extensive knowledge of hotel operations in large international hotel brands. * Should be familiar with the hotel management systems geared to the different areas of major branded hotel operations. * Possess outstanding leadership and wide experience in hotel management. * A strong approach to the analysis and achievement of financial results. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to integrate groups. * A degree or higher in hospitality management is strongly desired. * Maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of all factors affecting markets associated with the portfolio, including political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal aspects. * Keep abreast of industry trends and disseminate relevant industry information to the team. * Understand brand requirements and initiatives and their impact on the company assets and will recommend and coordinate brand changes as warranted. * Conduct operational reviews to identify value enhancement opportunities and monitor all financial performance and forecasts. * Should have solid management experience in dealing with branded hotels or other related experience. For this critical and key senior management role, you must be willing and agreeable to travel extensively (40%) throughout the year in this senior role.
