We are looking to fill the position of Hotel Ski Concierge & Porter at Fernie Alpine Resort. You smile and warmly greet our guests as their first point of contact at resort; nothing is too much trouble for you. You prioritize guest experience and teamwork. The ideal candidate will display professionalism, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and is able to work independently with a focus on accuracy and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. You Will book & check in spa guests, make cirque reservations, and issue shuttle tickets sell lift tickets, ski packages, and book repairs collect skis from racks and check them in to concierge assist guests with their luggage; including delivering luggage to their rooms, retrieving luggage upon check-out, and storing luggage as needed take guest ski/board equipment from front desk to concierge and vice-versa do thorough room checks once the housekeeping team has finished cleaning rooms and inform the front desk of their status know, understand, and adhere to the policies, rules, and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook be trained in, know, understand, and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program complete other fair and reasonable tasks as requested by management to operate the hotels You Have Physically fit and able to perform somewhat demanding work Comfortable working at a desk for multiple hours at a time Experience working in hotels and hospitality is an asset (training provided) Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Strong commitment to safety and following procedures Conditions: Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hands and arms Some moderate lifting Compensation And Benefits Competitive wage: $19.00 p/hour as per collective agreement ($19.57 from Jan 1st 2027) Mountain access perks: Staff receive an RCR pass with full mountain access, plus reciprocal resort tickets and discounted friends & family tickets Staff discounts: Enjoy savings on food & beverage, rentals, retail items and hotel accommodation.
