Job Description RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS). Position Summary This job posting is for a Clinical Research Coordinator within the Neurogenetics research team at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), under the supervision of Dr Myriam Srour and Dr Andrea Accogli, the MUHC site principal investigators for the Care4Rare-Expand project. Care4Rare-Expand is a pan-Canadian initiative aimed at improving the diagnosis of individuals with undiagnosed rare diseases through access to advanced genomic technologies. The Research Assistant will primarily support participant recruitment and follow-up, as well as research data collection and management. Department / Research Program: Child Health and Human Development General Duties Participate in participant recruitment and obtain research consent, including explaining the study and genomic analyses to participants. Collect clinical, administrative and molecular data and enter these data into the study database. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the study REDCap database. Coordinate research visits and the collection, tracking and distribution of biological samples. Collaborate with the local research team and Care4Rare-Expand project partners. Website of the organization https://rimuhc.ca/en Education / Experience Education: Bachelor's degree Field of Study: Human genetics, biomedical sciences, health sciences or a related field Work Experience: Experience or knowledge in clinical research, genetics, or genomics is considered an asset. Other requirements: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and ability to work collaboratively. Required Skills Advanced knowledge of oral and written French is required. An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with patients who are exclusively proficient in English.
