Position Summary Department / Research Program: Cardiology The program aims to recruit 4,000 participants, men and women aged 35-79 years who are either healthy, at risk, or who have known cardiovascular disease. The program provides the technical and logistical infrastructure for collecting and maintaining biospecimens and the data and associated information derived from biological materials such as blood, body fluids, tissue samples, genomic data, microbiomic data, digital health data, and imaging studies. https://cvsignature.ca We are seeking a proactive and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Research nurse to join our dynamic team. The incumbent will play a key role in the execution of clinical research studies by managing participant recruitment, obtaining informed consent, preparing study documents, processing blood samples, and handling various administrative tasks. This role also involves ordering supplies, providing coverage for administrative tasks during teammate vacations, and supporting the team by completing additional tasks as directed by the manager. General Duties Participant Recruitment, Obtain Informed Consent, Prepare Study Documents, Process Blood Samples, Handle Administrative Tasks, Order and Manage Supplies, Support the Team: Assist with various tasks as directed by the manager, Able to perform blood draws and ECG mandatory. An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with patients who are exclusively proficient in English.
