We are currently looking for a full-time, permanent Plumber to join our Facilities Services department to perform plumbing install, upgrading and repair at the journeyperson level across the district's 53 facilities. Major Duties And Responsibilities Installing, upgrading, repairing, and testing plumbing components, equipment, and systems such as sanitary, storm, potable, natural gas, propane, compressed air and sprinkler systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. Responding to plumbing and piping emergencies throughout the district facilities. Develops manual plans, sketches, and drawings for the purpose of job layouts, permit applications, and estimating time and materials required to complete the work. Provides technical advice and information to District staff as required. Operating a district vehicle and maintaining the vehicle's electrical equipment and materials inventory as necessary. Performs other job-related duties of comparable importance, difficulty and responsibility as required. Required Qualifications Grade 12 or equivalent plus a BC or Interprovincial Certificate of Apprenticeship in Plumbing or equivalent apprenticeship training and a BC or Interprovincial Certificate of Qualification in Plumbing (T.Q.); Two (2) years' experience at a Journeyperson level in commercial or institutional service work, including maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial and industrial equipment. Thorough knowledge of current techniques, methods, procedures, and equipment applicable to the plumbing trade. Ability to organize workload, work under periodic pressure and complete assignments with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills. Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License. Interested applicants MUST provide proof of TQ/Red Seal qualifications to be considered. This is a unionized position that offers a 40-hour work week with an hourly wage rate of $40.75, plus a liberal benefit package including Municipal Pension, health, vacation, and sick benefits. Exigences

Candidates must possess a Grade 12 education and a BC or Interprovincial Certificate of Qualification (TQ/Red Seal) in Plumbing. A minimum of two years of journeyperson experience in commercial or institutional service work and a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License are required.
