Caregiver/Support Worker(Langley)

RESPONSIBILITIES Performs personal care and patient-specific activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living, including but not limited to: Help with patients personal hygiene care Assist with dressing/undressing Prepare meals and food safety monitoring Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments Performs light housekeeping activities Provide medication reminders Assist with the prescribed range of motion exercises Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts QUALIFICATIONS HCA/PSW certified or equivalent (previous experience as a private caregiver will be considered) Ability to work independently and make decisions with the support of your team A Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check required Excellent communication and listening skills Valid CPR & First Aid an asset Must have access to use of a vehicle Business insurance will be needed

Provide personal care and support for patients with physical, medical, or memory impairments to assist with activities of daily living. Responsibilities include hygiene care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and assisting with prescribed exercises.

Candidates must be HCA/PSW certified or have equivalent private caregiving experience and possess a valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check. A vehicle with business insurance is required, and CPR/First Aid certification is considered an asset.
