Machinist - Vertical Boring Mill

Our continued growth and development has created a need for a Machinist - Vertical Boring Mill in our Saskatoon branch. The position is full time - 40 hours per week, with possible shift work. Position requirements: Key Responsibilities: * Complete set up sheets; documenting new product requirements for approval * Set up the machines properly and ensure that they are working at full capacity * Determine and then run the appropriate program for each job; make adjustments as needed to ensure quality product. * Load and unload the machines with the required products * Check and measure parts * Change the inserts when required * Operate all equipment, including in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures * General clean up of working area to help maintain a safe working environment Education & Experience: Skills and Abilities * High school diploma or equivalent * Red seal certification or working towards certification required * Must have Vertical Boring Mill & Turning experience * Experience in programming CNC machines * Minimum 3 years of experience in a heavy metal manufacturing environment * Experience in precision machining with tight tolerances * Experience using an overhead crane an asset * Ability to lift 50 pounds BENEFITS * Advancement Opportunities * Great company culture * Family owned with Family values * RRSP Program * Performance Incentive Program * Competitive wages * Company paid events * Gift cards * Extended health coverage * Dental & Vision care * Travel Medical insurance * Employee assistance program * Life Insurance / Accidental Death

Responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of Vertical Boring Mills to manufacture custom wheel and rim assemblies. Duties include loading machines, measuring parts for quality assurance, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Requires a high school diploma and Red Seal certification or progress toward it, with at least 3 years of experience in heavy metal manufacturing. Must have specific expertise in Vertical Boring Mills, CNC programming, and precision machining with tight tolerances.
