Role Description The Fence Installer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Clairmont, AB. Day-to-day responsibilities include measuring and laying out fence lines, digging post holes, setting posts, and installing various types of fencing and gates such as chain link, ornamental iron, vinyl, and wood. The role involves using hand and power tools, mixing and pouring concrete, and ensuring all installations meet company standards and safety requirements. Fence Installers load, unload, and transport materials to job sites, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule. The position also includes maintaining a clean and organized work area, reporting any site issues, and following all health and safety protocols. Qualifications Experience with fence installation or related construction trades, including measuring, layout, digging, and setting posts. Proficiency using hand and power tools (e.g., augers, saws, drills) and working safely around heavy equipment and vehicles. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, perform physically demanding tasks, and safely lift moderate to heavy materials. Strong attention to detail, ability to read basic site plans or instructions, and commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards. Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow directions, collaborate with crew members, and interact professionally with clients when required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Clairmont, AB worksite; clean driving record is an asset. Previous experience in fencing, carpentry, landscaping, or general labor is an asset; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Willingness to comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
