This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the company's financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, overseeing the accounting team, and supporting organizational decision-making through accurate and timely financial information. The ideal candidate is a strong accounting leader with a hands-on approach, exceptional knowledge of financial reporting and controls, and experience managing the day-to-day finance operations of a growing organization. Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and month-end close processes. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee account reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial records across the organization. Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and controls Lead the annual financial statement audit and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors. Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations. Establish, monitor, and enhance internal control processes to safeguard company assets. Coordinate corporate tax filings and support relations with external tax advisors. Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks. Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Monitor actual results against budget and provide variance analysis. Prepare management reports and financial insights to support business leaders. Assist senior leadership with financial planning and operational decision-making Oversee cash flow management and forecasting. Monitor working capital and liquidity requirements. Manage banking relationships and support financing activities. Ensure effective controls around cash management and disbursements. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team. Establish departmental goals, performance expectations, and development plans. Foster a collaborative culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service. Drive process efficiencies and finance systems enhancements. What you bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience At least 3-5 years of experience as a Controller or in a senior accounting leadership role overseeing full-cycle accounting operations 3+ years of people leadership experience. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, internal controls, and audit processes. Experience leading month-end and year-end close functions. Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. CPA designation preferred but not required. Experience with SAP is an asset. Experience implementing process improvements and finance automation initiatives Salary Range 135000 - 160000 / year Our success depends on our people. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with over 7 years of progressive experience, including 3-5 years in a senior leadership role. A CPA designation and proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel are highly preferred.
