Résumé du poste
Company Description Road To Hana Counselling and Wellness is a therapeutic clinic designed to feel like a self-care experience rather than a chore, offering thoughtful touches such as hot towels, beverages, and treats to help clients feel relaxed and supported. The environment is intentionally created to feel safe, welcoming, and judgment-free, with options for after-hours sessions that provide complete privacy for individuals who require confidentiality. The clinic is actively affirming of LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC communities and is grounded in feminist values, ensuring inclusive and culturally sensitive care. As a registered B Corp, Road To Hana prioritizes environmental responsibility alongside mental health services. Sessions are tailored to each individual’s preferences and needs, whether incorporating humor or a gentle, reflective approach, emphasizing that every client’s journey is unique. Role Description The Registered Clinical Counsellor will provide individual, couples, and family counselling services in an on-site, full-time role located in Vancouver, BC. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and offering evidence-informed interventions for a variety of mental health concerns. The counsellor will manage caseloads, maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure coordinated and high-quality care. The role also involves creating a safe, affirming, and trauma-informed environment for clients, with sensitivity to diverse identities and experiences. Additional tasks may include participating in team meetings, contributing to program development, and supporting the clinic’s commitment to inclusive, eco-conscious, and client-centered practice. Qualifications Strong counseling and family therapy skills, with experience providing client-centered, trauma-informed care. Solid grounding in psychology and mental health, including assessment, diagnosis (within scope), and evidence-informed treatment approaches. Proficiency in case management, including care coordination, treatment planning, and maintaining detailed clinical records. Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or equivalent designation in British Columbia. Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practice, with experience or training in working with LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, and diverse communities. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and boundary-setting skills, with the ability to build trust and therapeutic rapport. Ability to work on-site full-time in Vancouver, BC, and to collaborate effectively within a small, values-driven team. Training or experience in modalities such as CBT, DBT, EFT, somatic approaches, or other relevant therapeutic frameworks is an asset. Comfort integrating humor, creativity, or gentle approaches into sessions when appropriate to client needs.
