Robbins & Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced CPA or CPA candidate who enjoys working directly with clients, mentoring junior staff, and delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and assurance services to privately owned businesses and individuals. As a Senior Accountant, you will manage multiple client engagements, develop strong client relationships, and play an important role in maintaining the exceptional service our firm is known for. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Plan, execute, and complete assurance engagements, including review and audit engagements. Prepare corporate, personal, partnership, and trust tax returns. Assist clients with tax planning and year-end planning opportunities. Analyze financial information and provide practical recommendations to clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering responsive, high-quality service. Supervise, coach, and mentor junior accounting staff. Review working papers and provide constructive feedback to team members. Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and budgets. Stay current on changes to accounting standards, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities to improve client processes and contribute to firm growth. Qualifications CPA designation (or nearing completion). 4–7+ years of public accounting experience. Strong knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO), and Canadian tax legislation. Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns. Proficiency with CaseWare, TaxPrep, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office (experience with other accounting software is considered an asset). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
