Our client is seeking a Family Law Lawyer to join a respected and growing legal practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to develop their practice within a collaborative team environment while working on meaningful family law matters and providing trusted counsel to clients navigating complex personal and legal circumstances. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a range of family law matters and be eager to take on increasing responsibility, work directly with clients, and contribute to the continued success of a well-regarded practice. Key Responsibilities: • Manage a variety of family law matters, including separation, divorce, parenting, support, property division, and domestic contracts • Provide practical, strategic legal advice to clients throughout all stages of family law proceedings • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, agreements, briefs, and court materials • Conduct legal research and prepare written opinions and correspondence • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, case conferences, motions, and other court appearances as required • Develop strong client relationships through responsive communication and effective advocacy • Collaborate with senior lawyers and support staff to advance client matters efficiently • Maintain organized case management practices and meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment Qualifications: • Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario • 2+ years of experience practicing family law preferred; candidates with relevant experience at varying levels will be considered • Strong understanding of Ontario family law legislation and court procedures • Excellent legal drafting, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients during sensitive matters • Demonstrated ability to manage files independently while working collaboratively within a team Compensation: • Competitive base salary in the range of $100,000 – $130,000, commensurate with experience • Additional opportunities for professional growth and development This confidential opportunity provides the chance to join a respected family law team, work on meaningful matters, and continue building your legal career within a supportive and sophisticated practice environment.
