Corporate Controller Our client is a well-established manufacturer with operations across North America. They are searching for an experienced CPA to lead the accounting and finance function within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who combines strong technical accounting expertise with operational finance, costing, internal controls, and business partnership. This position reports to the executive leadership team and plays a key role in financial reporting, compliance, process improvement, and supporting strategic business decisions. Key Responsibilities: Financial Leadership & Reporting Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning. Develop meaningful management reporting, KPIs, and financial analysis to support operational decision-making. Present financial results and recommendations to senior leadership. Manufacturing Finance & Cost Accounting Partner closely with operations to improve financial performance across manufacturing. Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and cost absorption. Analyze production costs, inventory movements, and manufacturing performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Support pricing decisions, capital investment analysis, and operational initiatives. Leadership & Continuous Improvement Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Evaluate and improve financial processes, reporting efficiencies, and ERP utilization. Work cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, sales, and executive leadership to support business growth. Qualifications CPA designation (required). 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience. Previous Controller, Assistant Controller, Senior Accounting Manager, or Finance Manager experience within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience with manufacturing costing, inventory accounting, and operational finance. Experience leading external audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. ERP implementation or optimization experience is an asset. Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities. Proven leadership experience developing and managing accounting teams. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights.
