About The Company: We are currently working with a full-service law firm focused on advising technology companies on Canadian and U.S. cross-border legal matters. Their main practice areas include Corporate Law, Financing and M&A, Cross-Border Growth, Intellectual Property, Technology Law, Privacy Law, and Contractors and Employment Law. Clients include technology startups, AI and Web3 companies, angel investors and venture capital funds, video game studios, software developers, and industrial designers. They are currently looking for a Corporate Lawyer who has a background in Technology/IP and wants to work in an entrepreneurial environment. About The Role: Advise technology startups and growth-stage companies on incorporations, shareholder agreements and corporate governance. Draft and negotiate technology agreements - SaaS licenses, software development agreements, publishing agreements, copyright contracts and IP assignments. Advise on IP strategy including trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and patent-adjacent matters in collaboration with IP specialists. Draft employment agreements, contractor agreements, NDAs and equity compensation plans. Candidate Experience & Qualifications: 4+ years of post-call experience in Corporate Law. Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia. Excellent knowledge of technology agreements, IP licensing and startup financing structures (VC, angels, SAFEs, convertible notes). Cross-border experience or interest is highly desirable. Team player but can work autonomously and is self-sufficient. Compensation: The firm offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and seniority.

Requires at least 4 years of post-call experience in corporate law and membership in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia. Must possess deep knowledge of technology agreements, IP licensing, and startup financing structures.
