Our client, a well-established and respected organization within the construction materials and aggregate industry, is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to join their growing team in the Fraser Valley. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating daily operations, managing schedules, and supporting drivers, customers, and internal teams. Reporting to the Operations team, the Dispatch Coordinator will play an important role in ensuring efficient scheduling, communication, and coordination of daily deliveries while providing exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily dispatch schedules and delivery requirements. Communicate with drivers regarding routes, schedules, changes, and priorities. Monitor delivery timelines and proactively address scheduling challenges. Coordinate with customers, sales teams, and operations to ensure accurate and timely deliveries. Enter and maintain dispatch information, delivery records, and related documentation. Prepare daily reports and update tracking systems. Assist with coordinating trucks, equipment, and resources based on operational needs. Monitor driver availability and support efficient utilization of fleet resources. Respond to customer inquiries and provide updates regarding deliveries. Maintain accurate records related to orders, dispatch activity, and completed deliveries. Support problem-solving when unexpected issues arise, including delays, changes, or last-minute requests. Work closely with operations, drivers, and management to maintain a high level of service. Follow company safety policies and support a strong safety-first culture. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation coordination, or a similar administrative role. Experience within construction, aggregates, trucking, manufacturing, or a related industry is considered an asset. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry and documentation. Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a time-sensitive environment. Comfortable working with scheduling systems, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office. Ability to build positive relationships with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Strong understanding of the importance of safety and compliance.
