Our client is a well-established, full-service law firm with a strong reputation built over decades across BC. They operate with a collaborative, people-first culture and are at an exciting inflection point - investing in modernizing their finance function and building the infrastructure to support continued growth. They are looking for a Controller who is as comfortable rolling up their sleeves as they are leading a team, someone who sees inefficiency as an opportunity and has the credibility and communication skills to bring people along through change. Responsibilities: Build financial models and perform complex analysis across profitability, cost efficiency, and firm performance Communicate findings clearly to diverse stakeholders including COO and partnership Own full accounting cycle across multiple entities including consolidation, budgeting, and quarterly reforecasting Develop and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and compliance frameworks Drive system and process improvements in partnership with IT and operational stakeholders Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team across AR, AP, collections, and general accounting Liaise with external auditors, clients, and suppliers as needed Contribute to firm-wide strategic planning and risk mitigation Requirements: CPA Tech savvy, appetite for process improvement and automation 6+ years of experience in accounting with a few years of managerial experience Team player, efficient communicator, hands-on leader

Candidates must be a CPA with over 6 years of accounting experience, including several years in a managerial role. They should be tech-savvy with a strong appetite for automation and process improvement.
