Senior Accountant – Manufacturing Location: Vancouver (hybrid) Position Overview Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support one of its key manufacturing plants. This role will act as a strategic partner to plant leadership, providing financial insight, analysis, and oversight to drive operational performance and informed decision-making. The successful candidate will bring strong manufacturing finance experience, a solid understanding of IFRS, and hands-on exposure to inventory and plant-level reporting. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary finance partner to plant operations, providing timely and actionable financial insights Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including variance analysis, forecasting, and performance commentary Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with IFRS Partner closely with the Director on finance transformation initiatives, including systems implementations, ERP enhancements, data migration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and process improvements Oversee and participate in inventory management and physical inventory counts, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and reconciliation Partner with operations on budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and productivity initiatives Analyze manufacturing KPIs, margins, and cost drivers to support continuous improvement Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and inventory documentation Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with corporate policies and procedures Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, and corporate finance teams Travel to other manufacturing sites within North America as required Qualifications & Experience CPA designation required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of IFRS and plant-level financial reporting Hands-on experience with inventory accounting, standard costing, and physical inventory counts Proven ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders and influence operational decisions Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience within a manufacturing setting strongly preferred Willingness and ability to travel within North America Why Join Opportunity to work closely with plant leadership and influence business outcomes Partner directly with the Director on strategic finance projects, including systems implementations and data migration initiatives Exposure to a dynamic, operationally focused manufacturing environment Competitive compensation and benefits package Career growth within a stable and expanding organization
