Position Department: Information Technology Position School: Administration: No School Overview: Information Technology is looking for an outgoing and qualified candidate to work with the Event Technology team on several aspects of event and campus production and digital signage technology, including API integrations and the scripting of signage systems. This individual will be responsible for the development and maintenance of several aspects of the production and signage technology used at Robert Morris University. The individual that holds this position will work closely with the Manager and Assistant Manager of event technology on a regular basis to ensure the successful setup and execution of events, including the advertisement of events on digital signage. This position will entail office hours where the preparation of signage content will be discussed and signage and event technology around campus will be implemented. This position may also include time spent setting up and tearing down various productions around campus as needed to successfully facilitate the needs of the campus community. Responsibilities: Duties: Assist in the setup and execution of campus events. Utilize and improve upon an understanding of event technology, including microphones, cameras, audio systems, and video signal mediums. Assist in the development of digital signage integrations, including the use of API integrations with Rise Vision, Google Apps Script, Revolution, and others. Help identify areas for growth and enhanced event production. Assist with help desk and information technology customer service related responsibilities as assigned. Represent RMU in a professional and courteous manner. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree at Robert Morris University Basic working knowledge or the desire to gain a working knowledge of audio and video signal flow and the usage of production equipment. Basic working knowledge of spreadsheets and Google Drive tools. An excellent communicator. An understanding or the desire to gain an understanding of API integration and digital signage solutions is recommended but not required. Academic Years Preferred: Any Academic Year Will Be Considered Wage: 12.00 Wage Frequency: Hourly Is this position funded through Federal Work Study dollars?: No Average Number of Hours Per Week: Days of the Week to Work: This person in this position can work at maximum of 20 hours per week There will be 10 hours of office work per week to be scheduled at an agreed upon arrangement between the manager of event technology and the person in this position. The remaining 10 hours shall be scheduled as needed based upon the event schedule of the campus community.
