Business Analyst III

Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private clients, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking. Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Business Analyst III to join our client in support of an existing vacancy. Contract Period: 12 months with potential to extend or convert Pay Rate: Starting form $48 per hour Location: Toronto, ON Location Type: Hybrid Business Hours: Monday-Friday, Core business hours Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with pod members/business stakeholders to plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate and lead the delivery of detailed functional and non-functional requirements in alignment with Delivery Execution Framework (DEF) and Behavior Driven Design (BDD) Standards Create and maintain detailed documentation including business requirements, process flows, use cases, user stories, and technical specifications Ensure documentation remains current and accessible for reference and auditing purposes Lead brainstorming and user story refinement sessions to ensure requirements are clearly understood by all stakeholders and meet the expected business needs/desired outcomes Conduct comprehensive analysis of current capabilities, business processes and workflows (AS-IS), understand high level business requirements, identify areas for improvement, and recommend system enhancements (TO-BE) that align with best practices and business goals May provide support with Business operational/process related analysis Translate business requirements into system specifications, and collaborating with technology partners to build and test the proposed solutions while ensuring traceability to business requirements throughout Ensure that proposed solutions are scalable, sustainable, and integrate seamlessly with enterprise architecture Support testing efforts to ensure scenarios and results align to requirements and assist in implementation activities to achieve business outcomes Act as the main liaison between business leadership and technical teams, offering expertise in business-technology matters and addressing system-related issues that pertain to business requirements and technical solutions Liaise with third-party vendors and consultants as needed, ensuring their deliverables align with standards and business needs Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technology trends/developments and develop expertise in services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery Continuously enhance knowledge of business domains and their products/services Experience & Qualification Requirements: Undergraduate degree required 5-7 years of experience in business analysis required 5-7 years of Mainframe environment experience 5-7 years of Agile- JIRA and Confluence experience Demonstrated understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) Experience with SQL, data analytics, and business intelligence platforms is a strong asset Banking/Financial experience How to Apply: If you are a motivated professional looking to contribute to a leading team, please submit your resume outlining your qualifications and experience relevant to this role. Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements using BDD standards. Act as the primary liaison between business leadership and technical teams to ensure scalable system enhancements and successful implementation.

Requires an undergraduate degree and 5-7 years of experience in business analysis, specifically within Mainframe and Agile environments. Proficiency in SQL, data analytics, and experience in the banking or financial sector are strongly desired.
