Intermediate Backend Developer (Camunda / Orchestration)

Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private clients, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking. Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Intermediate Backend Developer (Camunda / Orchestration) Lending Platforms to join our client in support of an existing vacancy. Contract Period: 6 months Pay Rate: Starting from $68 per hour Location: Waterloo, On Location Type: Hybrid Business Hours: Monday-Friday; Core Business Hours Job Responsibilities: Backend developer building the orchestration/workflow layer for Unified Experience Supporting electronic tracking (eTrack) of an application/lifecycle and electronic documents (eDocs) The resource will implement Camunda-based workflow/BPMN logic on the orchestration layer and expose services that surface application status to the advisor portal Work includes building and testing orchestration flows, integrating with backend source systems, and supporting entitlement/access requirements within an Agile squad under senior technical direction Experience & Qualification Requirements: Financial services / banking domain experience required Camunda workflow/process orchestration (BPMN modelling and implementation) Camunda 8 / Zeebe preferred RESTful API / microservices backend development in Java / Spring Boot (Maven-based, deployed to Azure/AKS) Building and integrating orchestration flows with backend source systems via APIs and messaging/queue patterns (JMS/ActiveMQ) Coordinating multi-step transaction lifecycles (e.g., submit, approved, funded) Agile delivery with Git-based CI/CD workflows (GitHub, PR-based workflow) Agile delivery with Git-based CI/CD workflows Integration with document management systems (Alfresco or comparable ECM — OnBase, Documentum, OpenText) MuleSoft or comparable API gateway experience or Salesforce data integration exposure How to Apply: If you are a motivated professional looking to contribute to a leading team, please submit your resume outlining your qualifications and experience relevant to this role. Requires experience in financial services and backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and Camunda 8/Zeebe. Proficiency in RESTful APIs, messaging patterns, and Agile CI/CD workflows is essential.
