Détails du poste
Job Title: Manager, Compliance Advisory - Global Transaction Banking Location: Toronto, ON Base Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 CAD (dependent on experience) The Client: Our client is a leading North American financial institution with a significant Canadian presence and an expanding global transaction banking business. The organization is building dedicated compliance advisory capability in Canada as part of a broader global team, creating an opportunity to contribute to a developing function and support continued growth across Canadian and cross-border businesses. What you will achieve in this role: Provide day-to-day strategic compliance advice and practical, risk-based guidance to a growing Global Transaction Banking business supporting wholesale and large corporate clients. Advise on regulatory requirements, internal policies, procedures and industry practices across transaction banking products including cash management, deposits, payments, commercial cards and trade finance. Interpret Canadian regulatory requirements, identify emerging regulatory developments and assess their impact on business activities, products and processes. Connect business and product knowledge with regulatory obligations through compliance risk assessments, regulatory change processes, governance, controls and related compliance management framework activities. Provide independent second-line review and challenge of first-line risk management activities, including monitoring and testing of the effectiveness of regulatory risk mitigation. Draft, update and implement relevant policies and procedures and support regulatory and compliance training for business and control functions. Support regulatory inquiries, audits, inspections and engagement with Canadian regulators, while contributing to appropriate senior-management reporting. Partner with stakeholders across Canada and the United States on cross-border matters and evolving regulatory considerations, including the intersection of banking and securities environments. Contribute to a developing global compliance organization and a growing Canadian transaction banking platform, providing solutions that enable business objectives while appropriately managing compliance risk. What you must bring to this role: 5-7+ years of relevant compliance advisory, regulatory or legal experience, ideally supporting Global Transaction Banking, transaction banking or a comparable wholesale banking business. Direct knowledge of transaction banking products and services such as corporate cash management, deposits, wire and real-time payments, SWIFT, commercial cards and trade finance. Strong knowledge of Canadian regulatory requirements and demonstrated ability to identify, interpret and translate regulatory obligations into practical business guidance. Experience operating in a second-line compliance advisory capacity, including reviewing and challenging first-line risk management, controls, monitoring and testing activities. Experience with compliance risk assessments, regulatory change or impact assessments, governance and control frameworks. Strong analytical judgment and the ability to independently assess complex regulatory questions, including validating technology-assisted research and analysis against a sound regulatory knowledge base. Commercial and strategic mindset with the ability to develop practical risk solutions rather than unnecessarily slowing business activity. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to advise and challenge senior business partners. Canadian financial services experience is strongly preferred. Experience within another Canadian financial institution or comparable regulated environment is particularly relevant. Cross-border, U.S. regulatory, securities/broker-dealer, corporate lending or investment banking credit experience is an asset. A JD, LLB, LLM or equivalent legal/regulatory background is an asset but is not required. Ability to work effectively within a developing global team and in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Only those who are qualified will be contacted. This posting is for an existing vacancy and is intended to fill a current open position. Additional Information Background screening is required as part of the onboarding process. The type of screening required (criminal, credit, or other verifications) will vary based on the position and client requirements.
