This opportunity is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in quality work, want to build their careers in carpentry, and are ready to contribute to active job sites while learning alongside experienced crews. About the Role As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will support residential and commercial projects while developing hands-on skills in the trade. Depending on your apprenticeship level, you will assist with tasks such as framing, forming, installations, finishing, and general site preparation while following safe work practices and project requirements. This role offers the opportunity to grow your technical knowledge, gain valuable site experience, and work toward a career in carpentry. Key Responsibilities Support framing, finishing, and general carpentry tasks based on project needs and apprenticeship level. Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood structures. Work under the mentorship of your Journeyman to learn how to read and interpret blueprints, site drawings, and basic construction documents for our properties. Use hand and power tools safely, ensuring a safe environment for oneself and others. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow company safety procedures, site rules, and applicable building code requirements Work collaboratively with site supervisors, journeypersons, and other trades to keep projects moving efficiently. Maintain a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a willingness to learn on the job. Have an open mind and positive attitude when being taught new skills by journeypersons and supervisors. What You’ll Need Registered Carpenter Apprentice in Manitoba at Level 1, 2, 3, or 4. Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation to worksites. Previous construction or carpentry experience is considered an asset. Ability to work safely at heights and in changing site conditions. Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and performing demanding manual work. Strong attention to detail, dependability, and willingness to learn.
