Company Overview As a rapidly growing school division in Alberta, Rocky View Schools (RVS) supports the educational needs of more than 29,000 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in 53 schools to ensure they learn, belong and succeed. RVS is situated on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta including the Siksikaitsitapi (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Amskapi Pikuni), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations (Bearspaw, Chiniki, Goodstoney), and the Rocky View Métis District. The Opportunity RVS invites you to apply for two full-time (1.0 FTE) Divisional Complexity teaching position(s) starting immediately. This position will be working alongside Divisional Learning Specialists. The successful candidate must have access to reliable transportation as this position requires travel between RVS sites. This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS. The Successful Candidate Must Possess The Following Minimum 5 years classroom teacher experience Specialized Expertise: At least 1 year of dedicated experience or educational background in one of the following is an asset: Learning Supports or Inclusive Education (e.g., LST, or specialized certification) Working with students who are English as an Additional Language Learners Literacy or Numeracy Coaching The Successful Candidate Will have the ability to implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Tiered Interventions (MTSS) to ensure all students can access curriculum appropriate to their level be well-versed in student support planning in development and actualization of Individualized Program Plans (IPPs) and positive behaviour support plans excel in the implementation of complex behavioural supports demonstrate data-driven advocacy and are skilled in using progress monitoring and assessments to translate student needs into actionable classroom strategies work effectively with teams of teachers and support staff to coach and model effective practices that will build staff capacity to address classroom complexities Pre-employment Requirements Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education at .
