Job Title: Freelance Operator/Producer- 106.7 ROCK Rogers Sports & Media is looking for a sports fan and aspiring broadcaster to join the 106.7 ROCK team as a freelance Operator/Producer in Lethbridge, Alberta. The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to operate and produce Lethbridge Hurricanes hockey broadcasts on 106.7 ROCK. You will partner with management and talent to ensure that the play-by-play of broadcasts is professionally produced. You will also be responsible for providing scores and statistics to the main announcer. This role reports to the Content Director at 106.7 ROCK. The position will require working nights and weekends. What you will do… · Technical producer of play-by-play programming for the Lethbridge Hurricanes broadcasts · Monitor and edit audio content from internal and external sources · Organize scripts, sponsorship elements, and daily information required by the talent · Be a liaison between Promo/Sales/Programming and on-air talent What you will bring… · Passion for hockey and sports in general is an asset. · Social Media savviness is a must · An ability to multitask and remain cool and calm in stressful situations · Creativity and the ability to innovate new ideas · A team-first attitude with a drive and determination to complete tasks with others · Working knowledge of audio editing software is an asset · Graduate from (or enrollment in) a radio broadcasting or journalism program is an asset · Ability to work nights and weekends Schedule: Freelance Shift: Flex Time – Evenings & Weekends Length of Contract: Per Season Work Location: 1015 -3rd Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB Want to join the fun?
