Gas Plant Operator / Power Engineer

Roska DBO Inc. is currently recruiting for an experienced **Gas Plant Operator** in the Edson, Alberta area. The successful candidate will be working at a modern natural gas processing facility located approximately one hour from Edson. This position is best suited for a motivated, safety-focused operator with strong sour gas processing experience who is comfortable working independently in a plant operations environment. **Please note:** Camp accommodations are not provided for this position. Candidates must currently reside in the Edson area or be willing to secure their own accommodations. **Key Responsibilities** - Operate and monitor sour gas processing equipment and systems - Perform daily operational checks and troubleshooting activities - Follow operating procedures and safety protocols - Monitor plant conditions to ensure safe and efficient operations - Complete routine documentation and reporting requirements - Coordinate with maintenance and field personnel as required **Qualifications & Requirements** - 5–8 years of sour gas plant operations experience - Strong understanding of natural gas processing, NGLs, and hydrocarbons - Valid Power Engineering certification is required - Preference will be given to candidates holding a **2nd Class or 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate** - Experience operating within gas processing facilities is preferred - Ability to read and understand P&IDs, operating procedures, and process equipment - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract - Valid industry safety tickets - Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test **Additional Information** We thank all applicants for their interest in joining Roska DBO Inc.; however, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
