Job Overview The Inventory Processor – SMT is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management and supporting production efficiency through effective material handling, inventory control, and system accuracy. The role provides technical expertise, resolves inventory discrepancies, supports continuous operational excellence, and mentors junior team members while maintaining compliance, safety, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Inventory & Material Management Prioritize tasks across multiple workflows to maximize throughput and minimize downtime. Complete all overdue inventory counts accurately and on schedule. Pick SMT components using setup documentation with a focus on accuracy and proper production staging. Use Job Change Tool, T-Studio, Bartender, and Inovaxe software to pick: PCBs Stencils Reels Trays Barcode labels Conduct inventory reconciliations using X-ray equipment. Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages, discrepancies, or overages. Maintain accurate inventory records and document all inventory movements. Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices. Maintain strict lot control for traceability and waste reduction. Process and put away inventory using handheld scanners. Label incoming inventory and store materials in designated locations. Split component reels accurately while maintaining documentation and traceability. Manage the SMT Unplanned Shortage process. Maintain organized and accessible storage areas. Production Support Collaborate with SMT operators, production planners, and supervisors to ensure material availability for production runs. Develop a strong understanding of MES system documentation and processes. Training & Compliance Support onboarding and training of new employees on standard operating procedures. Adhere to all safety protocols and workplace guidelines. Promote accuracy, quality, and operational best practices. Qualifications & Experience Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education preferred. Skills & Experience Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Working Conditions & Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and move materials. Work performed in a manufacturing environment. Exposure to machinery and production-related noise. Compliance with required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Proficiency with computers for data entry and reporting. Salary Information: The pay range for this role in Canada is: $46,250-$51,000 CAD The listed salary reflects the pay range for a role based in Canada. Compensation may differ based on alternate locations if listed. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, knowledge, and role-specific qualifications, and may be adjusted to recognize candidates accordingly.
