As a key member of our program, you will play a crucial role in all aspects of sonography within our Medical Imaging team. Registered in good standing with College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). Current credentialed member of Sonography Canada. Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program. You will be a great fit for this position if you have: Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and exercise independent judgement. Demonstrated ability to function independently. Demonstrated ability to assess requests and prioritize them to ensure excellent and prompt patient care. Proven ability to adapt standard work procedures to emergency situations. Demonstrated commitment to continued professional and personal growth and development through Continuing Education Programs and Self-Directed Learning Opportunities. Demonstrated compassion and respect for the patient, family and support persons in the provision of imaging services Responsibilities: Perform routine and emergency procedures in accordance with established methods as described in departmental Policies and Procedures manuals, while documenting high quality images. Including but not limited to abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts. Experience in musculoskeletal, neurosonography, vascular imaging, as well as assisting in interventional procedures an asset. Operate, troubleshoot and ensure ultrasound, medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner. Prepare written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results. Ability to work all shifts including standby. Demonstrated commitment to be an integral part of the diagnostic imaging team to ensure smooth workflow within the department as well between the department and other departments in the hospital.
