Job Summary & Requirements The Cardiac and Renal Inpatient Unit is a 32-bed unit comprised of 20 telemetry beds, includes private, semi-private, and ward patient rooms. The team provides care to a wide variety of medical patients, including but not limited to, cardiac requiring telemetry monitoring, renal requiring hemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis, respiratory requiring continuous oximetry, gastrointestinal, general medicine, diabetes, and complex geriatric. The Cardiac and Renal team ensures that all patient concerns are addressed and provides support and resources when needed. The multidisciplinary team includes physicians, RNs, RPNs, pharmacist, social worker, dietitian, discharge planner, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, home and community care, clinical externs, and patient service clerks. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you are a professional caregiver who is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with the philosophy, policies and standards of care of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and all relevant legislation. Job Requirements Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Coronary Care I (CC1) Computer literacy in current software applications Demonstrated commitment to the professional growth and development of self and others Demonstrated commitment to the concepts of continuous quality improvement and customer service Preferred Coronary Care II (CC2) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Membership in Professional Association specific to Cardiac and Renal care You will be a great fit for this position if you: Practice autonomously and operates within the full scope of licensure and professional standards Possess sound problem-solving, communication, organizational, conflict resolution and decision-making skills Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Exigences

Candidates must hold a current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario and BCLS certification. Coronary Care I is required, while CC2 and ACLS are preferred.
