We manage a portfolio of residential rental properties and provide support across leasing, tenant placement, maintenance coordination, rent administration, and ongoing property operations. About The Role Royal York Property Management is hiring an experienced Real Estate Agent to oversee the marketing and leasing of properties within our portfolio of managed residential rentals. This is a field-based, results-driven position for a licensed real estate professional who understands how to bring rental properties to market, generate tenant interest, and successfully move listings from vacancy to lease. You will manage MLS exposure, market available properties, generate and respond to tenant leads, conduct showings, follow up with prospects, handle offers, and coordinate with our internal teams throughout the leasing process. Key Responsibilities Create, publish, and maintain rental listings on MLS. Ensure listing information, descriptions, photos, and property details are accurate and professionally presented. Market available properties through MLS, rental platforms, social media, professional networks, and other appropriate channels. Generate new tenant leads and maintain an active pipeline of prospective renters. Respond to inquiries and qualify prospective tenants for available properties. Schedule and conduct in-person property showings. Present properties effectively based on the needs and priorities of each prospect. Follow up with interested prospects and actively work to convert opportunities into offers. Handle objections and questions involving rental terms, property features, pricing, and availability. Prepare, receive, and coordinate rental offers and related transaction documentation. Communicate with cooperating agents regarding listings, showings, offers, and transaction requirements. Monitor listing activity, showing volume, tenant feedback, and overall market response. Identify properties that are not generating sufficient interest and recommend changes to improve leasing activity. Provide internal teams with market intelligence regarding pricing, renter demand, competing inventory, and prospect feedback. Maintain accurate records of listings, leads, appointments, offers, and leasing activity. Coordinate with Royal York's property management and leasing teams throughout the transaction. Ensure all real estate activities and documentation are handled in accordance with applicable Ontario requirements and company procedures. What We're Looking For Active Ontario real estate registration in good standing is required. 3+ years of professional real estate experience required. 5+ years of experience preferred. Strong background in residential real estate, with rental or leasing experience considered a significant asset. Hands-on experience creating and managing MLS listings. Strong understanding of the Ontario residential rental market. Proven ability to generate leads and develop prospective tenant pipelines. Strong sales, negotiation, objection-handling, and closing abilities. Comfortable managing rental offers and transaction documentation. Strong communication skills when dealing with prospective tenants, cooperating agents, and internal teams. Highly organized and capable of managing multiple listings, prospects, showings, and transactions simultaneously. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based environment. Proficient with MLS, CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, smartphones, and other real estate technology. Reliable vehiclerequired. Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends based on showing and leasing activity. Compensation Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission, with compensation based on experience, demonstrated real estate performance, and overall fit for the position.
