Minimum of 20 years of demonstrated IM/IT experience. 6+ years of experience as a Solution Architect/Solution Strategist on medium to large complex system development, COTS, and/or SaaS implementation projects. 2+ years of experience working as a Senior Solutions Strategist in the digital health space within the public sector in New Brunswick, Canada. 5+ years of experience managing or leading teams of IT professionals. 10+ years of experience developing Solution, Integration, and Functional Architecture deliverables. 5+ years of experience designing enterprise-level managed services and processes applicable across multiple clients and solutions. 5+ years of experience delivering functional implementations for provincial or enterprise-level solutions, with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and long-term solution lifecycles. 2+ years of experience collaborating with executive-level stakeholders and acting as a liaison between technical and business teams. 5+ years of experience working with business analysts, project managers, solution strategists, and business stakeholders to translate functional and non-functional requirements into technical solutions. 3+ years of experience providing technical direction and architectural guidance to development teams, including mentoring developers and ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices. 3+ years of demonstrated solution design experience re-platforming existing on-premises applications to cloud-based solutions. 2+ years of experience working as a Solutions Strategist with Provincial Cancer Screening Programs within a Canadian jurisdiction. Demonstrated knowledge of privacy and security concepts related to Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) within a provincial healthcare context. Strong experience developing architectural vision, solution architecture documents, technical specifications, integration requirements, API documentation, and enterprise-level architecture diagrams. Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, system interfaces, APIs, data flows, dependencies, and functional/non-functional requirements. Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive and business audiences. Strong technical leadership, analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and decision-making skills. Role and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the overall Architectural Vision, defining the solution’s goals, principles, standards, and strategic direction. Define Integration Architecture Principles to guide the selection and integration of modules, components, technologies, and services. Develop comprehensive Solution Architecture Documents covering system components, interactions, technologies, interfaces, data flows, dependencies, and deployment models. Create high-level and detailed architecture diagrams, including enterprise function diagrams and other appropriate modeling representations. Develop detailed Technical Specifications for system components and modules, including functionality, interfaces, dependencies, and data flows. Define and document Integration Requirements, including functional and non-functional requirements within healthcare environments and enterprise solutions. Develop and maintain API documentation covering endpoints, request/response formats, interfaces, integration patterns, and usage guidelines. Assess existing systems and develop solution strategies for re-platforming on-premises applications to cloud-based environments. Provide architectural direction and technical guidance to development teams, ensuring alignment with the overall solution architecture, enterprise standards, and best practices. Collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers, solution strategists, development teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Engage with executive-level stakeholders and business owners to communicate architectural decisions, technical options, project risks, and recommended solutions. Prepare and deliver business-focused presentations and technical updates to ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and organizational priorities. Develop Technical Risk Assessments and Mitigation Plans, identifying potential architectural and technology risks and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies. Provide architectural leadership for provincial and enterprise-level digital health implementations, ensuring solutions are maintainable, scalable, secure, and sustainable throughout their lifecycle. Support the design and delivery of solutions for Provincial Cancer Screening Programs and other healthcare initiatives within a Canadian public-sector environment. Ensure solution architecture and technical decisions appropriately address privacy, security, and Personal Health Information requirements, including PHIPA considerations. Design enterprise-level managed services and processes that can be standardized and applied across multiple clients and solutions. Provide technical oversight throughout implementation, ensuring architectural intent is maintained from design through deployment and operationalization. Lead and mentor IT professionals and development teams, promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and adherence to architectural standards. Evaluate technical options, technologies, integration approaches, and solution components to support effective long-term enterprise architecture decisions.
