Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Medical Surgical Heiltsuk Hospital | Bella Bella, BC Location: Bella Bella, British Columbia Facility: Heiltsuk Hospital Contract Duration: October 2, 2026 – November 30, 2026 Extension Potential: Long-term opportunities available for the right candidate Professional Summary Heiltsuk Hospital is seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care within a Medical-Surgical unit. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support patient recovery, promote positive health outcomes, and deliver safe nursing care in a rural healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities ✔ Provide direct nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients within LPN scope of practice ✔ Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and report changes appropriately ✔ Administer medications and treatments as prescribed ✔ Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and care planning ✔ Support patient education and promote health and wellness ✔ Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams ✔ Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records ✔ Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and facility protocols Qualifications ✔ Active and unrestricted BCCNM Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registration ✔ Recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred ✔ Current BLS/CPR certification required ✔ Strong clinical assessment and communication skills ✔ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment ✔ Rural or remote healthcare experience is considered an asset Position Details Pay: $37.00 - $40.00/hour (T4) (or as applicable) Schedule: Full-time hours based on facility requirements Travel: Fully covered Accommodation: Fully provided Shift: Days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays as required Why Join Us ✔ Competitive compensation package ✔ Travel and accommodation fully covered ✔ Gain valuable experience in a unique rural healthcare setting ✔ Supportive and collaborative work environment ✔ Opportunity for contract extensions and long-term assignments Equal Opportunity Employer We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
