Job ID: 26-23789 Job Title: Senior Project Manager (VertiGIS / GIS Modernization) Location: Toronto, ON (ONSITE) Duration: 3+ Months Client: Public Sector Job Description We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the VertiGIS Application Upgrade Project within the Geospatial Ontario IT Program. The role involves managing the upgrade of business-critical Geocortex applications to the VertiGIS platform, ensuring successful delivery of complex GIS modernization initiatives aligned with Ontario Government standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale GIS and IT infrastructure modernization projects. Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, resources, and stakeholder communications. Coordinate cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources. Ensure compliance with public sector project management standards, GO-ITS, AODA, and governance requirements. Oversee project reporting, executive presentations, and steering committee updates. Drive risk mitigation, change management, and successful project delivery. Required Skills & Experience: Extensive experience managing large, complex GIS/Esri implementation or modernization projects. Strong expertise with ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Image Server, VertiGIS/Geocortex, and GIS infrastructure. Experience with Microsoft Azure, Oracle Spatial, MS Fabric, enterprise storage, middleware, and IT infrastructure modernization. Proven experience in project planning, budgeting, stakeholder management, risk management, and executive reporting. Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Experience working within the Public Sector or similar government environment is highly preferred. Lead the end-to-end delivery of the VertiGIS Application Upgrade Project and other GIS modernization initiatives. Manage project scope, budgets, and cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with public sector standards.

Extensive experience managing complex GIS/Esri implementations and infrastructure modernization is required. Proficiency in ArcGIS tools, Azure, and Oracle Spatial, along with a strong background in public sector project management, is highly preferred.
