Work Arrangement: Onsite Work Term: Winter 2027 (8 Months: Jan. 2027 - Aug. 2027) Compensation At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $22.70 - $36.40. Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, and the number of prior co-op work terms completed. Join Our Team as a Product Engineering Support (Co-op)! The Product Engineering Support is responsible for support to various products manufactured at S&C and will gain exposure to engineering design principles as well as manufacturing techniques. They will also assist in investigating product designs, product testing and managing various projects. Key Responsibilities: * Design revisions using Solid Edge 3D CAD software. * Support Development Team projects; exposure to mechanics, electronics, high power electrical, software and systems engineering. * Investigate product designs to meet customer requirements. * Assist with product testing (mechanical, electrical, software). * Responsible for managing short-duration projects from initial concept to prototyping to implementation. What you’ll Need To Succeed: * 3rd or 4th year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student with a strong interest in power systems engineering. * Able to work for a 8 Month Co-op Work Term starting winter 2027 (Jan. 2027 - Aug. 2027) * Excellent verbal communication skills. * A team player who is also able to work independently under the supervision of a senior team member. * Structured problem-solving experience and exposure to Lean principles. * Quick learner. * Experience using 3D modelling tools such as Solid Edge is a strong asset. * Experience with product development testing, an asset. Physical Effort: Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs. Work Environment: Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
