Job Statement We’re hiring for a Product Manager System AV/IT to join our Supplier Management Team. As a Product Manager you will have the unique opportunity to develop growth strategies to support your suppliers’ brand portfolio. Effectively ensure the brand’s short-term and long-term financial objectives are met. Your entrepreneurial spirit will help identify white spaces in the System AV/IT category and work alongside the marketing as well as the sales team to implement programs to capitalize on those opportunities. You’ll be accountable for the supplier relationship, being the voice of your market to all stakeholders and managing the product selection, pricing, channel, and marketing strategies through its lifecycle. This is an individual contributor role with plenty of opportunities for your continued learning and development. Responsibilities * Manage a portfolio of brands * Establish and maintain a relationship with the supplier * Serve as an advocate for the needs and expectations of our suppliers within the organization and as an advocate of the needs of the organization to our suppliers * Collaborate with the Marketing Department to develop marketing strategies, campaigns, promotions, dealer, and end-user communications * Responsible for providing the Sales Department with the necessary expertise and tools to sell: printed & electronic promotional material, product training, campaigns, and events * Serve as the brand ambassador and market expert in product applications, competitive landscape, and industry trends * Conduct the strategic, tactical, and coordination activities necessary to the brand’s success (as defined below) Qualifications * University Degree, with some core marketing experience an asset * Experience in the System AV market * An understanding of some of the following areas AV/IT, signal flow & gain structure, conferencing microphone & voting systems, sound reinforcement, DSP, Paging systems, Voice & Video over IP standards, soft conferencing applications, control systems, and other industry standards would are required * 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience * Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, JD Edwards & BI an asset * Strong presentation skills * Strong market research and analytical skills * Ability to take the initiative, think critically, be innovative, and solve problems * Team player * Excellent time management and organizational skills What We Do SFM is an award-winning* and industry-leading distributor and go-to-market service provider for the pro audio, musical instrument, live entertainment, and media production industries. Exigences
Requires a university degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience in the System AV market. Must possess technical knowledge of AV/IT standards, signal flow, and conferencing systems.
