If you were working for us as an Assistant Manager of Resident Care, here are some of the things you would have done last week: Led by example, consistently practicing the Mission, Vision & Values of our home Actively supported the home’s Strategic Direction, promoting goals, objectives, and a “Partners in Care” approach Advocated for Residents’ Rights and upheld Resident-centered care standards Assisted with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and education for nursing staff Worked with the Resident Care Team to develop the philosophy, goals, policies, and standards of the nursing department Supported Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and acted on opportunities to enhance care Helped to develop and review staffing patterns to align with Residents’ needs Ensured performance appraisals were completed and feedback processes were in place Fostered clear, effective communication across the department and the home Supported staff orientation, continuing education, and research initiatives Collaborated with internal and external care partners to strengthen services Stayed current with nursing best practices, trends, and compliance requirements Assisted in managing the financial nursing budget effectively Worked as a multi-disciplinary team leader, guiding with integrity, flexibility, and enthusiasm Took on other leadership responsibilities as directed by the Manager of Resident Care or Administrator Ready to lead, care, and grow in a home where every day matters? While we don't take ourselves seriously, we take our jobs seriously and love to have fun with each other and the Residents! #SRINDEX Qualifications To be hired into this role, you must have: Required Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with a current certification with the CNO Required at least 1 year in Long Term Care and 3 years of experience in a healthcare managerial or managerial capacity, preferably in Long Term Care setting Required demonstration of leadership and communication skills Preferred Post-RPN education in Adult Training or 3 years’ relevant experience in adult training Preferred specialized training in Infection Control, Quality Management, or Wound Care is preferred Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months TB 2 Step updated within the last year Additional Information While our Applicant Tracking System uses some AI-enhanced tools, every decision throughout screening, assessing, and selecting candidates is made by real people on our team.
