Join our Rural & Remote Mental Health Service as a Consultant Psychiatrist and play a pivotal role in strengthening mental health care across the Whyalla region. Based in Whyalla, you will provide specialist psychiatric care, outreach services, clinical leadership, and supervision to medical practitioners while contributing to service improvement, quality initiatives, research, and innovative models of care tailored to regional communities. Working as part of a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will help shape the future of mental health services by partnering with consumers, families, carers, community organisations, and healthcare providers. WHO ARE WE? The appointed consultant will join the Rural & Remote Mental Health Service Consultant Psychiatry Team at Glenside and report to the Clinical Director. The role involves liaising with mental health consumers, carers, families, community organisations, and external service providers within the Whyalla catchment area.
